The Visione

Concept Car Designs

The Visione

The design brief for this project was for a Cyberpunk style sports car, with an option to be entirely windowless. Intended for promotional material, the general shape follows the mid-engine supercar styling, with an extended windscreen down to the front bumber.

The Inspiration

"A single, dramatic sweeping line creates a low-slung, cab-forward wedge shape reminiscent of classic 1970s sports cars reimagined through a fluid, modern lens."

"Voluptuous, seamless rear haunches taper gracefully toward the tail, contrasting cold industrial precision with soft, organic contours."

"The design strips away traditional details like handles and wing mirrors, relying instead on razor-thin light signatures and flush glass integration to emphasise pure, uninterrupted form."

Concept & Specifications

Initial concepts of the vehicle followed standard, mid-engine car profile. A primary design accent was added in the form of an extended front splitter, blended into the bodywork. The chassis would be a carbon fibre monocoque with aluminium body panels.

The windowless version was seen as secondary, and easier to render. As a result, the windowed version was sketched to play with the different proportions. The first windscreen was fairly "standard", not futuristic enough. As a result it was extended all the way down to the bumper panel line.

The interior was not required, however the client agreed to at least concept the interior. The style was modern luxury, futuristic, but familiar. The sketch included a steering yoke, full width instrumentation display and curved centre console display.

3D Printed Model

This 1:24 scale model was printed and painted in less than a day and beautifully showcases the design's exterior contours.

Printed from white PLA in five hours, primed and painted in metallic aluminium.

This simplified model mimics the traditional clay models made by car manufacturers for exhibitions and wind tunnel testing.

You can see a comparison between the Visione and a diecast sports car in the same scale.
